Wednesday | 06:15 PM | EU-China Relations in the aftermath of Brexit and Covid-19 Dr. Pablo Pareja Alcaraz, University Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona (Spain), Vice-rector of Faculty Affairs and Community Relations The past five years both the European Union and China have experienced some significant internal changes that have also affected their international role and image. Drezner has defined as “transformative change”, but they have opened the door to three potential scenarios for the future: the gradual intensification of the relationship, mostly in economic and military affairs; the erosion of the relationship and the gradual loss of the EU's influence in Asia; and the growing sinicization of EU's international strategy.
