Alle Termine der Veranstaltung 'Connecting Heidelberg University with China's Leading Museums':

The Institute of East Asian Art History collaborates with the participating Chinese leading museums and offers technical graduate courses, object study workshops, and supports fieldwork, which will create opportunities for students to come in contact with the most important developments and research in the field of museum studies. The initiative will further allow students access to museum experts who specialize in fields such as connoisseurship, conservation and restoration — fields that we do not currently cover adequately. Through the collaboration, which will involve short-term exchange visits by scholars from abroad, researchers from Heidelberg University will gain invaluable access to the expertise and collections of China’s leading museums. Having visits of specialists from China (also Russia; see “Special Program Dunhuang”) to lecture on their collections and research will give our graduates further practical training, including connoisseurship and appraisal––part of a skill set needed for careers in the museum field.
