Online Film Screening „The Healer and the Psychiatrist”

Dr. Mike Poltorak (School of Anthropology and Conservation, University of Kent)

The documentary, which is the result of twenty years of social anthropological research, engages with traditional and psychiatric treatments in the South Pacific Island group of Vava’u and explores the dialogic discourses of mental health, aiming to provide a deeper contribution to the growing global mental health crisis.
After the end of the documentary a virtual Q&A will be held, moderated by Prof. Sax.
