Tuesday | 05:15 PM | Fixed Point Theorems for Non-Continuous Mappings: Prof. Dr. Hoang Xuan Phu, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Institute of Mathematics There are various reasons for studying fixed-point property of non-continuous mappings, e.g., due to errors or perturbations, original mappings lose their contractivity or their continuity, and therefore, the existence of their fixed-points is no more warranted. To counteract this problem, we present some theorems on approximate fixed-points of roughly contractive mappings and roughly continuous mappings along with illustrating examples.
